About

First and Goal, to me, is the first step in making a dream become a reality.

Ever since I was a child, I have dreamed of owning my own hobby shop. With pressures (and expenses) of real life, that dream has been on hold for quite some time, but it has never faded. This blog started as my first attempt at devoting a portion of my adult life to collecting cards. About a year into bloggin, I started selling some extra team sets and singles on eBay with modest success. A few months later, I open an official eBay Store, First and Goal Sportscards, again with modest success. It certainly isn’t the brick-and-mortar shop I always imagined, but I am hoping this is just “getting my feet wet” so that at some point that dream of mine will become 100% fulfilled.

As the name of the blog hopefully implies, I generally focus on football cards and related topics, though I do reserve the right to throw in side bar comments about other sports, the sports cards Hobby in general, or anything else I deem important enough to write about. This blog is rarely a source for late-breaking news or inside scoops, but I aim to provide some useful information and a new opinion on our Hobby.

Please leave any feedback you may have and check back regularly. You can email me about anything at firstandgoal@dejazzd.com. I will respond to any inquiries, complaints, or suggestions, as long as they are not blatant spam.

Thanks for stopping by.

Nice to see someone from the area. I live over in Big Valley (allensville area) and it would be nice to have another card shop around these parts.
